Samsung NEXT Innovation Challenge
In the next decade, 12 million tech jobs will go unfilled in America. At the same time, 6 million Americans won’t find jobs (due to unequal exposure to tech career paths).
We created this Integrated Campaign with Samsung to bring awareness to that opportunity gap…and close it.
I lead the design of the campaign identity, managed a team of writers, producers, designers, editors, animators, and illustrators, designed promotional material, and wrote and directed individual videos on an integrated campaign and public contest to find innovators and amplify their work
The work
Campaign design centered on a national competition to identify and empower early-stage tech entrepreneurs positioned to help bridge America’s opportunity divide in the areas of education, workforce development, and economic empowerment: the Samsung NEXT Innovation Challenge.
We launched a national search (with a video) asking our target audience to nominate the entrepreneurs and products best tackling America’s Opportunity Divide.
Hundreds of submissions were narrowed to the 5 Finalists with the best products. The audience was asked to vote to determine the Winner. To support this vote, we created a website experience for each Finalist, including video and written content and a toolkit of social assets to “get out the vote”.
The campaign allowed Samsung to identify and engage 400+ entrepreneurs and moved several of the top-performing nominees into Samsung’s pipeline for potential investment.
5 Finalists
and their products were identified and a social media and video campaign was created for each.
And one Winner
whose product was finance by Samsung.
